Objectives and issues

"Problems in Programming" is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that publishes original and review articles on the main problems of programming, including the following issues:

• software engineering - theoretical methods;
• software engineering - formal methods;
• software engineering - applied methods;
• programming tools and environments;
• programming languages;
• software-hardware systems;
• software information protection systems;
• parallel programming and distributed systems;
• artificial intelligence;
• databases;
• semantic web and linguistic systems, and others.

The purpose of the publication is to familiarize the scientific community with the latest achievements of Ukrainian and foreign researchers in the field of programming technologies development, quality assurance, standardization and certification of software systems; creation of complex computer systems and models, in particular parallel and distributed ones; creation of intelligent information systems, data and knowledge banks; digital transformation of society.

scientists, engineers, teachers, postgraduates and students of higher education institutions of relevant specialties.

Founders

National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Institute of Software Systems of the NAS of Ukraine. The journal was founded on March 10, 1999.

Certificate of State Registration of a Printed Media Series KV No. 7490 dated 01.07.2003.

By order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 409 dated 17.03.2020, as well as in accordance with the Register of Scientific Publications of Ukraine, the journal "Problems in Programming" (ISSN: printed edition - 1727-4907) was assigned category B and included in the List of Scientific Professional Publications of Ukraine. In the edition the results of dissertations for the degrees of Doctor of Sciences, Candidate of Sciences and Doctor of Philosophy in the field of technical sciences in the following specialties may be published:

• 121—software engineering;
• 122—computer science;
• 123—computer engineering;
• 124—systems analysis;
• 125—cybersecurity;
• 126—information systems and technologies.

An electronic copy of the journal is stored in the V.I. Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine and in the Scientific Electronic Library of Periodicals of the NAS of Ukraine, the journal is indexed in the Open Science Harvester of the NAS of Ukraine. It is included in the OpenUkrainianCitationIndex database and the Crossref database.
